I "only" lost....

Remember that the average person will gain about 5 pounds per year as they age.  If I did nothing I would weigh five pounds more than I do now.

If I LOST each week In a year I would Lose:
.2 10.4
.4 20.8
.6 31.2
.8 41.6
1 52
1.2 62.4
1.4 72.8
1.6 83.2
1.8 93.6
2 104
2.2 114.4
2.4 124.8
2.6 135.2
2.8 145.6
3 156
3.2 166.4
3.4 176.8
3.6 187.2
3.8 197.6
4 208

Now we all know the average weight loss is considered to be 1.5 pounds per week. Well, if we do the average, it will be around 78 pounds per year.

A pound is 3500 calories. If we exercise 3 times a week at a consistency that burns 500 calories and we cut back on our calories by 500 per day for SIX days a week (no less than 1200 of course), we will use up 3900 calories per week.  That is about 1.2 pounds per week or 62.4 pounds per year.

Now if we add one day of exercise at 500 calories that will burn off approx 1.4 pounds per week and that is over 72 pounds a year lost.

So, let's be realistic. Even if we 'only' lose .4 pounds one week, the next week or the week after we will lose let's say 2.2.  That averages out to 1.3 per week

Let's say 1.2. So we will lose almost 73 pounds per year.

Not too shabby eh?  hugs and love,  Nessa --
